| Ride Review - Latest Revision: September 2007 (WARNING! Will Spoil First Time Riders) |
There seems to be
a "thing" on the East Coast, where you can't
have a dark ride without exploring various nursery rhymes
that modern kids haven't heard of because they are now
deemed as politically incorrect. Woody Bear was the parks former mascot. He seems to have disappeared in his own long-forgotten fairytale these days though, as this is pretty much the only place in the park that still features him. The ride is a slow crawl through small nursery tale scenes animated by various bears and dolls whose animation extends to them shaking their head or waving at passers by. However, the scenes are kept looking nice and well lit - and some of the little details are appreciated when you consider rides where they simply are not present (Snails and Fairy Tales, anyone?) Each scene has its story spelled out above the tableux, and amoung the favourites there are a few obscure ones - one of which I had never heard of before. Accompanying our journey through this fete of babyness, nursery rhymes are played. In fact - I can categorically say that they come from an Early Learning Centre CD... please don't ask me how I know that. The small nippers will enjoy this very much. |
